Speaker 1:

Hello, my name is Dilmer Eldred and I want to welcome you to the Klickitat Voice, and today I want to talk about the spending bill that Congress passed on March 22nd. This bill is a pure abomination on the American taxpayer, and to make this bill possible, there was 101 Republicans that voted for this and there was absolutely no justification for them to surrender to the Democrats. It was a complete departure from the party's core values. There was no reason that this bill couldn't have been presented two weeks prior, but no, it stayed under lock and key until the last minute. The reason is to try and force a vote without knowing exactly how bad this bill is. This bill was a gift to the Democrats to hand more money to the special interest groups during an election year. With 6,600 earmarks that provided money for Democrat supporters.

Speaker 1:

The excuse to vote for this bill was to avoid a short partial government shutdown, but this gave the Republicans a perfect opportunity to push Biden to close down the borders, telling him you either close down the borders or we'll close down the government. But no, rather than do that, they voted for a bill $650 million for states to make illegals more comfortable. Also, as well as increasing the amount of health care for illegals that are in custody. However, it does include money for border patrol agent. It does nothing to stop the invasion of illegals, illegal aliens, but it appears to have 101 Republicans, along with the Democrats, that care more about protecting the borders of other countries, more than ours. 300 million to the Ukraine, on top of the $75 billion they already were given. $500 million to Jordan to protect its borders, who already receives $1,450,000,000 a year from the US. This bill also provided $400,000 for LGBTQ underwear for 13 to 18 year olds, it fits as to reform their body parts. It funnels money to Planned Parenthood, to increase funding for abortions, and all kinds of money for LGBTQ programs. It gives $1,500,000,000 for AOC's New Green Deal, a multi-million dollar program for gun confiscation research, which, right after the bill was signed, the Department of Justice announced they were opening a red flag research center. This is just a few examples of the reckless spending in this bill.

Speaker 1:

All this to say, there are some good parts to this spending bill and those would have remained if the Republicans would have taken time to cut out more of this Democratic's wish list. First of all, a lot of this spending in this bill is unconstitutional, as per Article 1, section 8 of the Constitution, and Congress has no authority to take one dollar of taxpayer money and use it to support and enrich special interest groups or fund immoral acts that Planned Parenthood and LGBTQ have lobbied for. This bill is going to cause inflation to soar. It will suck the life out of the future for many young people to ever have hopes of financial stability or to own their own home. The administration is going to blame it on energy costs, which is partially true, but when, let's say, a barrel of oil is $80, and now you print more money and devaluate the dollar even more, so that increases the price of a barrel of oil, that was $80 to make the same amount of profit. It's the same with everything. A $300,000 house now costs $350,000 to make the same amount of profit.

Speaker 1:

At any rate, the Republicans are the majority and they had plenty of options to keep this spending bill from being passed with all the expensive earmarks. But 101 Republican House representatives voted against the American taxpayer, including Dan Newhouse, and they do not deserve to serve another term. Please do your part and help replace the rhinos with real conservative elected servants. Thank you for listening. Until next time, god bless.
